The meeting was called to order by Mayor Commissioner, Mr. Howell.
Mayor Howell informed the Commission the meeting was called to
accept the $1,054, 384 Offer of Grant from the Federal Government
for the expansion of the water system and certain streets, water
and sewer development in the Saltair Subdivision.

Resolution 77-5 was presented in full by Mayor Howell appointing
The Ocean State Bank as depository for a special account entitled
EDA PROJECT ACCT. NO. 04-51-00370 with any two of the three
following signatures needed for endorsement: William S. Howell,
Paul R. Steckla and Adelaide R. 'Tucker.

Iayor Howell recognized Mr. Walter Parks, City Engineer, who request-
'ed authorization to commence work on the Saltair Subdivision and
stated he needed applications signed as required by the State
Department of Transportation for a driveway permit and a utility
permit for a new water main on East side of Mayport Road.
Motion: Authorize Mr. Parks to proceed with detailed ensen X X

After a short discussion concerning appointment of the resident
inspector, Paul Steckla was designated to serve in that
capacity. The Commission agreed to take action on the
project coordinator and special matters at a special session
on Wednesday, February 9, 1977, at 7:30 p.m. as more informa-
tion would be obtained at a meeting Wednesday morning with
ROA representatives and Atlantic Beach officials.
There being no further business, Mayor Howell declared that
the meeting be adjourned.
