OF THE ATLANTIC BEACH CITY COMMISSION
ON MONDAY, JUNE 7, 1976 AT 8200 P.M.

The special called meeting of the Atlantic Leach City
Commission was called to order by Mayor-Commissioner,
Mr. Howell,
Mr. Vogel presented revised bids for the stream and lake
grading at Howell Park, Reduction of bids submitted
June 2, 1976 were as follows

After discussion, Commissioner Jensen moved that the
bid be awarded to the low bidder, Conrad Wd ihnacht
Construction Company. The motion was seconded by Com-
missioner Mhoon and carried.
The City Manager requested approval of revised budget for
Howell Park. Commissioner Mhoon moved to approve the re-
vised budget as presented, seconded by Commissioner Jensen
and carried„
Mr , Vogel stated he had received an itemized request of
necessary repairs to Donner Park. After discussion, the
City Manager was instructed to prepare cost estimates and
report back at the next meeting.
Mr. Vogel asked the Commission ' s approval to purchase two
sets of signs for Howell Park. One set at a cost of $550.00
and the other set at a cost of $595.00. It was moved by
Commissioner Mhoon, seconded by Commissioner Jensen and
carried that both recommendations be accepted.

An offer was made by Mr. Norman Chatman to sell to the City
of Atlantic Beach lots 325 and 326 for $2, 000. total . Com-
missioner Mhoon moved to approve the purchase of lots 325
and 326 at a price of $1,000. each. The motion was second-
ed by Commissioner Jensen and carried. The City .attorney
was instructed by the Commission to prepare the necessary
documents.
Mr. George Bull has offered to sell to the City of Atlantic
Beach a strip of land along Seminole Road in back of lots
on Sea Oats. The Commission declined the offer,
Mayor Howell stated a decision should be made on installing
the French Drains . Mr. Parks informed the City Manager that
the only type of drains feasible for our City would be the
free standing. After discussion, it was moved by Commissioner
Mhoon, seconded by Commissioner Jensen and carried that the
City Manager proceed with plans to install the French drains
immediately.
Commissioner Mboon advised the Commission he would give his
report on the Dog Ordinance at the next regular meeting.
Mr. Vogel stated he had received a. price from Badger Meter
Company for plastic meters at $21 .00 each. After much
discussion, it was decided that it would be expedient to
purchase not more than 12 meters for testing the performance
and any possible defect that may be encountered.
There being no further business, the Mayor declared that
the meeting be adjourned.
