05-15-78 v MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL CALLED COMMISSION MEETING OF THE ATLANTIC BEACH CITY COMMISSION HELD AT THE CITY HALL ON MAY 15, 1978 AT 8:00 P.M. PRESENT: William S. Howell, Mayor Commissioner Alan C. Jensen James E. Mhoon L. W. Minton, Jr. Catherine G. Van Ness, Commissioners AND: Bill M. Davis, Acting City Manager The Mayor announced the meeting was called to order for the purpose of receiving the bids for the storm drainage disposal facilities on the ocean- front at Ahern, 8th and 10th Streets. Add 1,210 90 Days Completion After a short discussion on the unexpected high cost of the bids and the completion time, the Mayor announced the meeting would be in recess for five minutes. Mayor Howell called the meeting to order. The Mayor announced, for the benefit of the bidders, there would be a special call meeting held on Wednesday, May 17, 1978, at 6:30 P.M. He noted that a conference would be held with the Corps of Engineers and the contractors for the sand renourishment to ascertain their expected completion date.
