The Mayor announced the meeting was called to appoint an Acting
City Manager, and asked for nominations. Mr. Bill M. Davis was
nominated by Commissioner Van Ness, and seconded by Commissioner
Minton. As no other nominations were made, Mayor Howell pre-
sented and read in full a proposed resolution nominating Mr. Bill
M. Davis Acting City Manager, to become effective at 5:01 P.M.
(E.S. T. ) March 23, 1978.
Motion was made by Commissioner Jensen, seconded by Commissioner
Van Ness and carried unanimously for passage of said Resolution.
Copy of Resolution 78-6 is attached hereto and made a part hereof.
There being no further business, Mayor Howell declared the meeting
adjourned.

RESOLUTION NO. 78-6
WHEREAS, Section 10, Article I of the Charter of
the City of Atlantic Beach provides for the
appointment of a City Manager, and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH:
THAT MR. BILL M. DAVIS be appointed as
Acting City Manager, effective at 5: 01 P.M. (E.S.T. )
March 23, 1978.
