N D S 0 The meeting was called to order by Mayor-Commissioner, Mr. Howell, and immediately went into session as a Canvassing Board to receive the Certificate of Results from the Election Officials covering the Primary Election of City Officials for Commission Seat No. 1, Seat No. 2, and Seat No. 3. Copies of the Certificate of Results of the Primary of October 2, 1979 were presented to the Board by Mayor HoweZZ and the City Clerk. Mayor Howell presented Resolution No. 79-21 certifying the results of the Primary Election of the City of Atlantic Beach, Florida, held on Tuesday, October 2, 1979. Motion: Resolution No. 79-21 certifying the results of the Jensen x Primary Election of the City of Atlantic Beach, Florida Minton x x held Tuesday, October 2, 1979, be adopted. Van Ness x x Howe Z Z x Copy of Resolution No. 79-21 is attached hereto and and made a part hereof. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That it is hereby unanimously voted that said returns be accepted as reported and That it is hereby found and determined by the City Commission of Atlantic Beach, Florida, acting in the capacity of a Canvassing Board that the qualified voters who participated in said Primary Election cast their votes in favor of the following candidates as follows: SEAT NO. 1, MAYOR-COMMISSIONER, William S. Howell Elected SEAT NO. 2, COMMISSIONER, James E. Mhoon Elected SEAT NO. 3, COMMISSIONER, Alan C. Jensen Elected It is further found and determined that the above named candidate for Seat No. 1 is duly elected to serve for two years, and it is further found that the above named candidates for Seats #2 and #3 are each duly elected to serve for four years.
