Mayor Howell called the meeting to order at 6:15 p.m. for the City Com-
mission to interview Police Chief applicant David Thompson.
Following the interview, the City Manager, also the Director of Public
Safety, recommended that Mr. Thompson be hired.
The Mayor asked Mr. Thompson if he clearly understood that if he was hired
he would be on a one-year probation and would be reviewed after six months.
Mr. Thompson replied in the affirmative.
Motion: The applicant, Mr. David Thompson, recommended by the Director Gulliford x x
of Public Safety, be hired as Police Chief for the City of Morris x x
Atlantic Beach, Florida. Van Ness x
The motion carried unanimously. Howell x

There being no further business to come before the Commission, Mayor Howell
declared the meeting adjourned at 6:30 p.m.
