12-16-63 v MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE ATLANTIC BEACH CITY COMMISSION
HELD AT THE CITY HALL ON MONDAY EVENING, DECEMBER 16, 1963, AT 7 : 30 P.M.

The meeting was called to order by the Mayor-Commissioner, Mr. Olsen.
The Invocation was given by Mayor Olsen.
The Ordinance 20-63-7 covering the Budget for the year 1964 was pre-
sented in full in writing. Mr. Parks moved that the Ordinance be
passed on first reading by title only. The motion was seconded by
Mr. Goodling and having been duly considered, the Mayor put the
question and the motion was unanimously carried. Mayor Olsen set
the date for public hearing on this Ordinance for Thursday morning,
December 26, 1963, at 9:00 A. M. at the City Hall.
The question was brought up as to postponing the regular meeting of
Monday night, December 23 until the 9: 00 A. M. December 26th meeting
and Mr. Goodling moved that the regular meeting be postponed until
Thursday morning, December 26, at 9:00 A. M. The motion was cec-
onded by Mr. Moore. A discussion followed during which Mr. Lawrence
brought out that since the 23rd meeting was a regular meeting and
the citizens were used to the meetings being on Monday night at
8:00 P. M. he believed it would be wise to go ahead with the
December 23rd meeting. There was further discussion and Mr. Moore
withdrew his second to the motion, advising that he would come on
the 23rd, whereupon Mr. Goodling 's motion died for lack of a second
and the regular meeting of the Commission will be held at 8: 00
P. M. , December 23, 1963.
Mr. Parks then moved that the meeting be adjourned, seconded by Mr.
Lawrence and carried. Mayor Olsen de dared the meeting adjourned.
