07-15-63 v MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE ATLANTIC BEACH CITY
COMMISSION HELD AT THE CITY HALL ON MONDAY, JULY 15, 1963,
AT 6: 30 P. M.
Present:
Henry G. Isaacs
Preben Johansen
J. B. Claiborne
C. B. Lawrence, Jr.
Chas . R. Moore, Commissioners
and
Frank Thompson, City Attorney
John R. Printon, City Manager
Absent: Adele S. Grage, City Clerk
The meeting was called to order by the Mayor-Commissioner, Mr.
Isaacs .
Mr . Johansen moved that the rules be wiaved and the Commission
declared in session, seconded by Mr . Moore and carried.
Mr. Isaacs moved that the City Manager be appointed Acting City
Clerk in the absence of the City Clerk, seconded by Mr . Claiborne,
and carried.
Mr. Isaacs moved that Mr. Lawrence represent the City at the
baseball benefit dance, seconded by Mr . Claiborne and carried.
Mr. Isaacs moved that the request of Mrs . Dorothy Kerber of the
Mileage Meter Company to re-locate this business at 405 Atlantic
Boulevard be approved, seconded by Mr . Claiborne and the roll
call vote was:
Aye: Claiborne, Lawrence, Isaacs
Nay: Johansen, Moore
whereupon the Mayor declared the motion carried ,
Mr. Thompson presented a draft of the proposed Civil Service
Ordinance to the City Commission for study.
The Commission discussed at length the impending suit of the
R.C .B.S . Corporation vs. the City of Atlantic Beach.
There being no further business, thergeeipg was declaed adjourned.
