04-02-63 v MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE ATLANTIC BEACH CITY COMMISSION
HELD AT THE CITY HALL ON APRIL 2, 1963 AT 300 P. M.

Henry G. Isaacs, Mayor-Commissioner
Adele S . Grage, City Clerk
The meeting was called to order by the Mayor-Commissioner Pro Tem,
Preben Johansen.
Mr. Johansen appointed City Manager John Printon as acting City
Clerk in the absence of City Clerk Adele S . Grage.
Mr. Lawrence presented an ordinance in writing prohibiting opera-
tion of vehicles over 5, 000 pounds on the streets of the City of
Atlantic Beach, etc. , and moved that the rules be waived and said
ordinance be considered on the first reading by title only, seconded
by Mr . Claiborne and carried.
Mr. Claiborne moved that said ordinance be adopted on first read-
ing and that a Public Hearing be held at 8:00 o ' clock P. M. on
April 17 , 1963 , seconded by Mr. Moore and carried.
Mr. Lawrence moved that the City Manager be authorized to advertise
for bids for playground equipment for the new City Park, seconded
by Mr. Claiborne and carried.
Mr. Lawrence moved that the City Manager be authorized to advertise
for bids for light fixtures for the lighting of the new Little League
ballfield, seconded by Mr . Claiborne and carried.
Mr . Claiborne moved that the City Manager be authorized to advertise
for bids for two sewage lift station pumps with controls to replace
present equipment, seconded by Mr. Lawrence and carried.
There being no further business, Mayor-Commissioner Pro Tem Johansen
declared the meeting adjourned.
