09-02-67 v MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE ATLANTIC BEACH CITY
COMMISSION HELD AT THE CITY HALL, ON SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 2,
1967 AT 8:00 A. M.
The meeting was called pursuant to provisions of City Charter.
Present:
William S. Howell, Mayor-Commissioner
Donald L. Goodling
Louis C. Holloway, Jr.
W. J. Parks, Jr. , Commissioners
and
R. C. Vogel, Acting City Manager
Adele S. Grage, City Clerk
Absent:
John W. Weldon, Commissioner (Ill)
Frank Thompson, City Attorney (Out of City)
The meeting was called to order by the Mayor-Commissioner, Mr.
Howell.
Mr. Howell presented in writing in full an Ordinance amending
Budget Ordinance #20-66-12 reducing amount of taxes needed for
Account #101 due to availability of additional funds from
reserve for Account #123. Following discussion Mr. Parks moved
adoption on first reading by Title only, seconded by Mr.
Goodling and carried. Public Hearing was set for September 11,
1967 at 8:00 P. M.
A request to purchase a 2 " meter with accessories from Account
#1501 was presented. It is for use at the Sea Turtle Restaurant.
Mr. Parks moved approval as requested, seconded by Mr. Goodling
and carried.
There was a discussion of meters and it was consensus that we
not buy just one make of meter as need competition in purchases.
The need of a grader was discussed as old Adams grader is broken
down. The Commission would like more information before any
action taken.
There being no further business the Mayor declared the meeting
adjourned to meet again in special se sion Tues•ay night,
September 5, 1967 at 8: 00 P. M.
