~"" AGENDA ITEM: Uniform Rental and Cleaning for City Employees

BACKGROUND: In accordance with the Northeast Florida Public Employees' Local
630 Agreement with the City, we are required to furnish and clean
uniforms for City bargaining unit employees required to wear
uniforms.
The City's current contract is with Cintas Corporation. The
contract expired on July 31, 2005. We have contacted Mr. John
~ Duffy, Branch Manager of Cintas Corporation, and he has agreed
to extend the contract for another year at the current prices. The
City has the option of extending the current contract for two 1-year
,,. periods, and this will be extension number one.
^. RECOMMENDATION: Extend the contract for one year at the current cost, which is
estimated at $9,500.
BUDGET: This is budgeted in the 4400 accounts of several departments:
Streets and Maintenance, Stormwater, Water Production, Sewer
~ Treatment, Water Distribution, Sewer Collection, Parks and
Recreation, and Finance.
ATTACHMENTS: Letter signed by John Duffy, Branch Manager, Cintas Corporation
agreeing to extend the contract for one year at the current prices.
