AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA,
' AMENDING CHAPTER 2 OF THE ATLANTIC BEACH CODE OF
ORDINANCES, ADMINISTRATION, ARTICLE V. BOARDS AND
COMMISSIONS, DIVISION 2. CODE ENFORCEMENT BOARD, BY
" ADDING 9,LY ALTERNATE MEMBERS TO THE CODE ENFORCEMENT
BOARD, AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE CITY COMMISSION ON BEHALF OF THE PEOPLE
OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA:
SFCTinN 1_ Sec. 2-141(a) of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Atlantic Beach,
" Florida, is hereby amended to read as follows:
"Sec. Z-141. Created; membership; terms.
(a) There is hereby created a code enforcement board of the city, which
' shall consist of seven (7) board members and one (1) alternate member, who shall
" serve on the board in the absence of board members, to be appointed by the mayor
and approved by the city commission. All board members and the alternate member
" of the board shall be residents of the city and shall serve without compensation.
Board members may serve a maximum of three (3) consecutive terms. Service as
an alternate member, however, shall not preclude service thereafter as a board
" member for a maximum of three (3) consecutive terms: '
SFCTT(lN 2_ This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its final passage and
adoption.
