CITY COMMISSION HELD IN THE COMMISSION CHAMBERS, 800 SEMINOLE
ROAD, ATLANTIC BEACH, ON TUESDAY, OCTOBER 4, 2005
Immediately preceding the meeting, representatives of the office of the Duval County
Supervisor of Elections, witnessed by Commissioners and city staff, tabulated and verified the
count of the votes cast.
The Commission Meeting was called to order at 8:43 p.m. by Mayor Meserve. Present, in
addition to the Mayor, were Mayor Pro Tem Beaver and Commissioners Parsons, Simmons
and Waters. Also present were City Attorney Alan Jensen, City Manager Jim Hanson and
City Clerk Donna Bussey.
1. Canvass the results of the municipal election and adopt Resolution No. OS-12
declaring the resuts thereof.
The Mayor presented in full, in writing, Resolution No. OS-12 A RESOLUTION
CERTIFYING THE RESULTS OF THE PRIMARY ELECTION OF THE CITY OF
ATLANTIC BEACH, HELD ON TUESDAY, OCTOBER 4, 2005 FOR THE
PURPOSE OF ELECTING A MAYOR COMMISSIONER AND TWO
COMMISSIONERS.
City Clerk Bussey read the official results broken down by precincts, absentee ballots, totals
and percentages.
Commissioner Beaver moved for adoption of the resolution. The motion was seconded by
Commissioner Parsons and was unanimously approved.
Certification of the official results of said election is attached hereto and is as follows:
Seat 1 Mayor /Commissioner: Donald M. Wolfson elected (2 years)
Seat 4 Commissioner: Jamie Fletcher elected (4 years)
Seat 5 Commissioner: Louis Michael Borno, Jr. elected (unopposed, 4 years)
There being no further business to come before the City Commission, the meeting adjourned
at 8:50 p.m.
