Award; Public Safety Director David Thompson has received the Outstanding Criminal Justice
Professional Award from the Southern Criminal Justice Association. It was presented at their
annual conference held at the Sea Turtle Hotel in Atlantic Beach. This Association is primarily
comprised of criminal justice educators and researchers at the university level. David Thompson
has been an adjunct professor at UNF for several years and has participated in some of their past
conferences.
