AGENDA ITEM: Approve designated streets for the Tree Planting Program

BACKGROUND: The City implemented a tree planting program in 2002 to
assist with the beauty and tree canopy of the City. We
installed over 500 trees on the right-of--way areas and parks
-throughout the City over the past 3 years. This year we
would like to designate the' following streets for planting,
which would cost an estimated $14,000 for approximately
225 five-gallon trees:
• City Hall -Red Maples
• Russell Park & Bike Path -Oaks and
Hollies
• Royal Palms Dr. -Oaks and Hollies
• Jasmine Retention Pond- Oaks
• Veterans Park -Oaks and Hollies
• Sarga Road -Oaks and Hollies
• West 6~' Street to 10~' Street from Mayport
Road to Rose -Oaks and Hollies
• Cutlass Drive -Oaks and Hollies
• Triton Road -Oaks and Hollies
• Skate Road -Oaks and Hollies
• Cavalla Road -Oaks and Hollies
• RedFin Dive - 02ks and Hollies
• Forrestal Circle -Oaks and Hollies
BUDGET: Amid-year budget modification will be applied to account
number 112-6020-537-34-00.
