AGENDA ITEM: Atlantic Boulevard Medians, Mayport Road Flyover
and Town Center Landscape Maintenance

BACKGROUND: The bid opening for the Atlantic Boulevard Medians, Mayport
Road Flyover and Town Center Landscape Maintenance was held
on December 30, 2003 at 3:00 PM. The four firms that submitted
bids were A Native Sun Landscaping, Nanaks Landscaping,
Ragland & Sons Landscaping and Trim-All Lawn Service, Inc..
For the Mayport Flyover areas, we requested a price for Bi-Weekly
and Weekly services, with the intent of bringing this area up to the
level of service of the Atlantic Blvd. Medians, if funding allowed.
The following is the total yearly price to maintain all of the
landscaping on a weekly basis:
A Native Sun $102,720.00
Nanaks Landscaping $71,100.00
Ragland & Sons Landscaping $79,243.83
Trim-All Lawn Service, Inc. $70,440.00
RECOMMENDATION: We recommend awarding the annual contract to Trim-All Lawn
Service in the amount of $70,440.00, with the start date of
February 1, 2004.
ATTACHMENTS: Bid Analysis
BUDGET: Funds are budgeted under account number 001-5002-541-34.00
"Other Contractual Services." in the amount of $36,000.00 for the
Atlantic Boulevard Medians, $40,000.00 for the Mayport Road
Flyover and $12,000.00 for Town Center Maintenance for a total
of $81,000.00.
