AGENDA ITEM: Concrete Repairs

BACKGROUND: The City's current contract is with R.L. Lawrence Construction for
concrete repairs, which expires on February 28, 2004. We have
contacted Mr. Robert Lawrence, owner of R.L. Lawrence
Construction, and he has agreed to extend the contract for another
yeaz at the current prices. The City has the option of extending the
current contract for two (2) one (1) yeaz periods and this proposed
extension will be the second.
RECOMMENDATION: Extend the contract for one yeaz at the current prices.
ATTACHMENTS: Letter signed by Robert Lawrence, owner of R.L. Lawrence
Construction agreeing to the extension at the current prices.

As you are awaze, the contract with the City of Atlantic Beach for Concrete Repairs expires on
February 28, 2004. We would like to extend the contract for another yeaz at the current prices, if
this is acceptable to your company. If acceptable, please sign below and return to me before
January 26, 2004, so I can prepaze a staff report for the City Commission to accept the extension.
We look forwazd to recommending that we continue our contract with your company.
