AGENDA ITEM: Renewal of Annual Contract for Asphalt Repairs

BACKGROUND: The City's current contract with Tom's Asphalt Repairs, Inc. for
small asphalt paving repairs expires on February 29, 2004. We
have contacted Mrs. Nancy Miller, President of Tom's Asphalt
Repairs, Inc., and she has agreed to extend the contract for another
yeaz at the current prices. The City has the option of extending the
current contract for two (2) one (1) yeaz periods and this proposed
extension will be the second.
RECOMMENDATION: Extend the contract for one yeaz at the current prices.
ATTACHMENTS: Letter signed by Nancy Miller, President of Tom's Asphalt Repairs,
Inc. agreeing to the extension.

As you are aware, the contract with the City of Atlantic Beach for asphalt repairs expires on
February 28, 2004. We would like to extend the contract for another yeaz at the current prices, if
this is acceptable to your company. If acceptable, please sign below and return to me before
January 27, 2004, so I can prepare a staff report for the City Commission to accept the extension:
