Resolution No. 18-09RESOLUTION NO. 18-09 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA, AWARDING BID #1718-04 FOR THE CDBG 2018 JORDAN PARK WALKING PATH PROJECT. WHEREAS, on February 28, 2018 two bids were received and opened for City Bid #1718-04 for the CDBG 2018 Jordan Park Walking Path project; and WHEREAS, the total bid prices (including 10% contingency) received were $57,337.50 from CGC, Inc. and $95,747.30 from Hager Construction Company; and WHEREAS, the low bidder, CGC, Inc. submitted all required documents in their bid submittal; and WHEREAS, the low bidder, CGC, Inc. was also scored the highest by both COJ CDBG staff and COAB staff in the Section 3 Federal Requirements of the bid; and WHEREAS, the project consists of the preparation and construction of approximately 850 linear feet of ADA compliant concrete walking path (sidewalk), 5' wide and 5" thick, within Jordan Park to provide patrons greater accessibility to existing park amenities; and WHEREAS, the Contractor will be given 45 days from Notice to Proceed date to complete the project; WHEREAS, project funds are available in the FY17-18 budget under Project No. PM1804; Account 131-6020-572-6300, and will be fully reimbursed through CDBG Grant funding (up to $81,436.00.). NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Commission of the City of Atlantic Beach as follows: SECTION 1. The City Commission hereby awards Bid #1718-04 to CGC, Inc. in the amount of $57,337.50 (base bid plus 10% contingency); and SECTION 2. The City Commission hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute the Contract with CGC, Inc; SECTION 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its passage and adoption.
