A RESOLUTION OF THE UI1 Y ur ATLANTIC BEACH, FLOMDA,
AuTttuRIZING THE EXPENDITURES ur v uiNDS FROM THETREE
LuNSERvATION TRUSTFUND FOR AN ARBOR DAY EVENT.
WHEREAS, the hnvironmental Stewardship Committee recognizes the importance of
Atlantic Beach's tree canopy and is committed to its protection; and
wuhREAS, The Environmental Stewardship Committee created an Arbor "ay
Subcommittee to oversee the development of an 2U 1 ?i Arbor lay event that includes outreach,
education, and tree planting; and
WHEREAS, the Environmental Stewardship Committee recommended the use of up to
two thousand five hu..dred ($2,SUU.UU) dollars for the use of funds/Mems purchased for the Arbor
"ay event from the Tree Conservation I,und; and
WHEREAS, Section 23-14 of the Code of Ordinances requires that the use and
distribution of Tree Conservation Trust Fund funds shall be designated by the laity Commission;
and
N u w i nhREFORE, be it resolved by the City Commission of the City of Atlantic Beach
as tollows:

SEC'T'TUN2. This resolution shall take ettect immediately upon its passage and adoption.
