SUBJECT: Ordinance 2001-434
After attending a community meeting on June 5,2001,I am requesting that ordinance number
2001-434 appropriating$45,000 to assist in the construction of a one block segment of Church
Road in Atlantic Beach be deferred until after a public hearing is held and action is taken by
the Atlantic Beach City Commission. At this point the residents of the area are very opposed
to having the section of roadway opened, citing the concerns of safety, location and traffic.
They would like the opportunity to address these concerns with the Atlantic Beach City
Commission. I do not have the date certain of which this public hearing will be held,but will
advise the Committee when that information is made available.
