BACKGROUND: In an attempt to beautify City right-of--ways and increase
the tree canopy of Atlantic Beach, the City Commission
approved the Tree Planting plan. Staff has designated areas
for planting and has received citizen input for maintenance
of the trees. The following areas have been designated for
tree planting:
o Seminole Road
o Plaza
o Marsh Oaks West
o Tree Board Recommended areas
o City Parks
The following bids were accepted for the project: .
o C & L Landscaping $40,000.00
o Vila & Son Landscaping $31,328.00
o Davey Tree Service $24,250.00
o Allscape of Florida, Inc. $25,450.00
o Clay Hill Evergreen Nursery $23,962.50
o Commercial Landscaping $22,000.00
o Land Design Incomplete
The bid did include crepe myrtles, but they will be
substituted with Sweet Gum Trees.

5.1 CONTRACTOR will be responsible for safe conduct and use of equipment on job site.
5.2 CC1N1'RACTUR wilt follow all safety requirements recommended by the manufacturer on
each piece of equipment used, atad for any chemicals used.
