Recreation fees and charges

BACKGROUND: The Parks and Recreation Department is currently
charging fees for activities and building use. We are
requesting that the City Commission add the attached
ordinance of Parks and Recreation fees to the City's
Ordinances.

ORDINANCE NO. 95-03-82
' AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA,
AIYIENDING CHAPTER ~, BEACHES AND PARKS, ARTICLE III,
PUBLIC PARKS, ADDING A NEW SECTION 5-32, TO ESTABLISH A
SCHEDULE OF PARKS AND RECREATION FEES, AND PROVIDING
AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE CITY COMMISSION ON BEHALF OF THE PEOPLE
OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: Sec. 5-32 of the Code of ordinances of the City of Atlantic Beach, Florida,
is hereby created to establish the following fees and charges for the use of City facilities
and for other Parks and Recreation activities:
Sec. 5-32 Fees and Charges
Buildin7 usage $50.00 plus a refundable deposit of $100.00
Lost key charge $8.00
Beach Permit $30.00 per event, plus a refundable deposit
of $100.00. (This fee only plies for horses
and fires on the beach.l
Summer Camo $45.00 per week. However, for children
who qualify for free or reduced-price
lunches at their schools. the cost will be
$50.00 per child for the duration of the
summer camp.
Annual Camp-out $10.00 per campsite
Campin7 on Dutton Island $25,00 per camp site, plus a refundable
deposit of $25.00
Flag Football $10,00 per child

' SECTION 2. This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its final
adoption.
