Please be advised, Atlantic Beach Code Enforcement has found your property referenced above to be in
violation of the City of Atlantic Beach, Code of Ordinances,to wit:
VIOLATION(S)
Sec. 24-163(c). A junked or abandoned vehicle , or one that is inoperable, as defined within this code,
shall not be parked or stored in any zoning district. Further mechanical or other automotive repair work
on any motor vehicle shall not be performed out-of-doors within any residential zoning district, except
for minor maintenance or emergency repairs lasting less than eight(8)hours and performed on a vehicle
owned by the occupancy of the residential property.
IPMC Sec.302.8 - Motor Vehicles "No inoperative or unlicensed motor vehicle shall be parked or kept
or stored on any premises, and no vehicle shall at any time be in a state of disrepair, major disassembly
or in the process or being stripped or dismantled".
Sec. 24-173. Neighborhood preservation and property maintenance standards. (b) Appropriate
maintenance and upkeep. All areas of a lot and structures that are visible from the street or a
neighboring property shall be maintained in an acceptable manner, which shall be defined by the
following characteristics: 1. Lots are maintained free from litter, trash, debris, discarded belongings,
automotive parts, old tires, construction materials, and broken and abandoned items.
Sec. 24.154 Outdoor display, sale and storage of furniture household items, merchandise and business
activities outside of enclosed buildings. * (g) Within all non-residential zoning districts, the outside
display of products, or outside sale of furniture, clothing, dry goods, hardware or other similar
merchandise, equipment and materials, and also street vendors, shall be prohibited.
This letter requests that the noted violation(s) be corrected by removing all junk, inoperable
vehicles (Chevy Camero no , Ford Bronco yellow/black and old boat) and by removing all
discarded items (A-frame hoist, dismantled fork lift, stored on the property within ten (10) days of
the receipt of this notice.
To avoid having this case be referred to the Code Enforcement Board, all listed violations on this notice
must be in compliance on or before the date established by Atlantic Beach Code Enforcement. The
Board may impose fines up to two hundred fifty ($250.00) per day for continuing violations. Upon
completing the corrective action required, it is your responsibility to contact Atlantic Beach Code
Enforcement and arrange for an inspection to verify compliance.
