Discarded or unused household items shall be stored or properly disposed of to avoid mold, rodent and insect infestations which may result in health risks and which also create unsightly appearances that negatively affect neighborhoods. Such violations shall be corrected immediately upon written order from the city. Sec. 12-1 Nuisances (b) It is hereby declared to be a nuisance, the enumerations of which are merely indications of the nature and type of acts, occurrences and conditions, and shall not be deemed to be exclusive. (7) For any person, either as the owner or occupant of a building, structure, or property to utilize the premises for the open storage of any abandoned or inoperable motor vehicle, refrigerators or other appliance, household furniture, glass, building material, building rubbish or similar items. This letter requests that the noted violation(s) be corrected by removing two junk boats stored in corner side yard within five(5) days of the receipt of this notice. To avoid having this case be referred to the Code Enforcement Board, all listed violations on this notice must be in compliance on or before the date established by Atlantic Beach Code Enforcement. The Board may impose fines up to two hundred fifty ($250.00) per day for continuing violations. Upon completing the corrective action required, it is your responsibility to contact Atlantic Beach Code Enforcement and arrange for an inspection to verify compliance.
