Please be advised,Atlantic Beach Code Enforcement has found your property referenced above
to be in violation of the City of Atlantic Beach,Code of Ordinances,to wit:

Violation Description
IPMC 302.4 Weeds.
All premises and exterior property shall be
maintained free from weeds or plant growth in excess of
twelve(12)inches.All noxious weeds shall be prohibited.
Weeds shall be defined as all grasses,annual plants and
vegetation,other that►trees or shrubs provided;however,
this term shall not include cultivated flowers and gardens.

IPMC Sec. 304.1 General.
The exterior of a structure shall be maintained in good
repair,structurally sound and sanitary so as not to pose a
threat to the public health,safety or welfare.

IPMC Sec 304.2 Protective treatment.
All exterior surfaces including but not limited to,doors
and window fratries,cornices,porches,trim,balconies,decks
and fences,shah be maintained in good condition. Exterior
wood surfaces,¢they than decay-resistant woods,shall be
protected from the elements and decay by painting or other
protective covering or treatment. Peeling,flaking and
chipped paint shall be eliminated and surfaces repainted.
All siding and masonry joints,as well as those between the
building envelope and the perimeter of windows,doors and
skylights,shall be maintained weather resistant and water
tight. All metal surfaces subject to rust or or corrosion
shall be coated to inhibit such rust and corrosions and
all surface with rust or corrosion and shall be stabilized
and coated to inhibit future rust and corrosion. Oxidation
stains shall be removed from exterior surfaces. Surfaces
designed for stabilization by oxidation are exempt from
this requirement.

IPMC Sec. 304.6 Exterior walls.
All exterior walls shall be free from holes,breaks,and
loose or rotting materials; and maintained weatherproof and
properly surface coated where required to prevent
deterioration.

304.7 Roofs and drainage.
The roof and flashing shall be sound,tight and not have
defects that admit rain.Roof drainage shall be adequate to
prevent dampness or deterioration in the walls or interior
portion of the structure. Roof drains,gutters and
downspouts shall be maintained in good repair and free from
obstructions. Roof water shall not be discharged in a
manner that creates a public nuisance.

warped, worn,loose,torn or otherwise unsafe as to not
provide safe and adequate means of egress.

This letter requests that he noted violations be corrected by repairing the stairs handrails
within ten(10)days,and mowing the overgrown yard,repairing the roof and falling soffit
within thirty(30)days of the receipt of this notice.
To avoid having this casebe referred to the Code Enforcement Board,all listed violations on this
notice must be in compliance on or before the date established by Atlantic Beach Code
Enforcement. The Board may impose fines up to two hundred fifty($250.00)per day for
continuing violations.U0, n completing the corrective action required,it is your responsibility to
contact Atlantic Beach Code Enforcement and arrange for an inspection to verify compliance.

Please be advised, Atlantic Beach Code Enforcement has found your property referenced above to be in

Section 109.2 Temporary Safeguards. Notwithstanding other provisions of this code,whenever, in the
opinion of the code official,there is imminent danger due to an unsafe condition, including the boarding
up of openings,to render such structure temporarily safe whether of not the legal procedures herein
described has been instituted; and shall cause such other action to be taken as the code official deems
necessary to meet such emergency.(structure main entrance is open and unsecured)
Sec. 108.1.3. Structure unfit for human occupancy. A structure is unfit for human occupancy whenever
the code official finds that such structure is unsafe,unlawful or because of the degree to which the
structure is in disrepair or lacks maintenance, is unsanitary,vermin or rat infested,contains filth and
contamination, or lacks ventilation, illumination, sanitary or heating facilities or other essential
equipment required by this code, or because the location of the structure constitutes a hazard to the
occupants of the structure or to the public. (unsecured structure open to vagrant occupancy)
IPMC Sec. 301.0 Vacant Structures and Land. All vacant structures shall be maintained in a clean,
safe, secure and sanitary condition as provided herein so as not to cause a blighting problem or adversely

Section 108.1.5 7. The building or structure is neglected, damaged, dilapidated, unsecured or
abandoned so as to become an attractive nuisance to children who might play in the building or structure

This letter requests that the noted violation(s)be corrected by boarding and securing all openings providing
access to the dwelling/structure as outlined in the attached specifications within five(5)days of the posting of
this notice.
Failure to comply with this notice will result in the City of Atlantic Beach taking emergency measures to
correct this hazardous, unsafe condition by boarding and securing the structure at your expense. A lien
will be placed against the property for all fees incurred for the corrective action required to secure the
structure. It is your responsibility to contact Atlantic Beach Code Enforcement and arrange for an
inspection to verify compliance.
