Dear Mr. Purnell,
I am writing this letter to inform you that the final inspection for the referenced fence permit was approved in
error. This fence(and shed)cannot be approved as built and the final inspection, dated 3/09/2017,has been
declared invalid,per FBC, Section 111.4. This fence and unpermitted shed are not approved at this time.
To correct this situation,the shed(now located on the rem property line)must be installed to resist wind
pressures,in accordance with the Florida Building Code,and be located in accordance with City Of Atlantic
Beach Ordinance 24-151(b). No permits for a shed or accessory structure were found in City records.
Please obtain a building permit for the shed, install the shed per the approved provisions,and complete the
fence as originally permitted within thirty 30 Days of receipt of this letter.
I apologize for the inconsistencies of the original final inspection, but when errors are found in construction or
permitting and inspections, we me required to correct them.
It is our goal to keep our neighborhoods looking well maintained while protecting property values and your
prompt attention and cooperation in this matter will be greatly appreciated. Please contact me, if you have
any questions,wish to obtain applications for any new building permits,or need additional information.
