Bids were advertised, and on April 30, 2003, two bids were received, as shown below. A local vendor also notified the City that they had sent a bid through the U.S. Mail, however it never arrived at the Purchasing Office. Bid award recommendation was to be based an a hypothetical single-day usage of 3 hours of emergency jet cleaning, 8 hours of emergency pumping, and televising of 1000 linear feet of i e. Prices for the 2"d low bidder are significantly higher ($100-$200/hour) than those we currently pay to local vendors. BUDGET: A total of $30,000 was budgeted for sewer cleaning and televising and emergency jetting and pumping in the Sewer Fund under account number 410-5506-533-3400. RECOMMENDATION: Reject all bids, and re-bid the Annual Contract for Emergency Sewer Pumping, Jetting, Cleaning and Televising of Sewers Under 5,000 Linear Feet per Callout. ATTACHMENTS: 1.
