Mr. Griffith stated he met with City Manager Genity, Deputy City Manager Hogencamp, and City Attomey Durden about obtaining relief from this fine. At their suggestion, he found examples of similar prope1iies/cases where the Code Enforcement Board ( cmTent/past) extended favorable leniency and then presented it to them. Mr. Griffith stated he even offered to give this property to the City of Atlantic Beach because he cannot afford to pay the amount due. He explained his offer was declined and it was suggested to request a rehearing with the Code Enforcement Board for reduction of the fine. Chair de Luna explained the history of this case and reiterated to Mr. Griffith that his request for a rehearing does not meet the requirements per the City Code. There was a brief discussion and no motion was made. Chair de Luna explained the without a motion, we are done.
