To whom it may concern:
It has come to our attention that the lot grading, drainage patterns, and water retention areas, on
the referenced property, have been altered, and a fence has been installed without building
permits.
Altering the topography of any property, without a building permit, violates Atlantic Beach
Regulations, Section 24-68.
Installing a fence, without a building permit, violates Florida Building Code (FBC), Section
105.1.
Therefore, per FBC, Section 111.4, the Certificate of Occupancy for the referenced property is
revoked. As of this date, the building is not occupied and cannot be occupied until a new
Certificate of Occupancy is issued. Utilities may be disconnected, per FBC 112.3.

A Stop Work Order is currently posted on the property.
To correct this situation, building permits must be obtained for lot grading and drainage, and
installation of fences. Please submit all forms and documents required for new permits. Permit
fees will be double the original fee plus $110.00, per FBC, Section 109.4.
No work can be done until the Stop Work Order is removed by the City.
It is our goal to keep our neighborhoods looking well maintained, with effective storm water
controls, while protecting property values. Your cooperation in this matter will be greatly
