To Whom It May Concern:
At the subject project, it is my understanding that the framer did not construct the
rimboard/sheathing lap splices as indicated in our structural details. To account for this
deficiency, additional fasteners will be required as described below:
• The 2nd floor studs should be attached to the sole plate with Simpson SDWC15450
screws at 32"o.c.
• The 2"d floor sole plate should be attached to the floor trusses below with Simpson
SDWC15450 screws at 24"o.c.
• The floor trusses should be attached to the I" floor double plate with Simpson
SDWC15600 screws at 24"o.c.
• The 191 floor double plate should be attached to the studs with Simpson SDWC15600
screws at 32"ox.
Please note that the remaining details for hardware and sheathing installation as shown in our
structural drawings will still apply.
