The employee sampling was based on: )-Age -youngest to oldest )-Tenure with the City of Atlantic Beach -new to tenured )-Race )-Gender . )> In addition to .the sample of employees above, communication was sent to all City of Atlantic Beach inviting them to participate in "open" interviews. )> All interviews were voluntary and held at the Jordan Community Center. , )-1 :1 interviews consisted of an "open " d ial.ogue to· discuss the following : · )> What is working? );;> What ne~ds to be improved? )> What suggestions did they have to help the City of Atlantic Beach? , )> In addTti·on.t-o the ..above, additional clarity around "th~mes" that came from responses on the "on-line" survey. )-91 Employees completed the on -line survey - a 73% res .ponse ­ rate · )-20 Employees partic~pated in the 1 :1 interviews-a 16% response ~ 23 employees were invited to interview-14 showed for interview s ~ 6 employees requested to be interviewed : ,.
