Dutton Island Construction; The Oceanside Rotary Club has recently volunteered to aid in the
construction of the facilities for Dutton Island, and spent the last two weekends in assembling one
of the new pavilions that had been bought under the Phase III Improvements Program. The materials
were purchased through a combination of Atlantic Beach and grant funding. A total of four pavilions
have been constructed under this third phase, three of which were erected by the contractor and the last
was built by the Rotary Club. Eagle Scouts have also offered to do additional projects on the island,
which is proving to be a popular location for civic projects.
