Code Enforcement Process
•Violation is observed by citizen complaint, code officer or
survey conducted by the City.
•Complaint is investigated if violation is found voluntary
compliance is requested. Failure to obtain compliance results in
certified enforcement letter. If compliance is not obtained,
violation is presented to code enforcement board for order.
•Failure to comply with code enforcement board order results
in fine against the property. Fines range from up to $250 per
day to $500 per day depending if violation is first offense or a
repeat.
