CALL TO ORDER
Meeting called to order at 3:58pm.

2. NEW BUSINESS
Mr. Tari summarized the last meeting in which we had determined by maximizing bike racks ,
accurately counting existing parking spaces at Waters Park, the small park on Coquina Place and
Dewees Ave. and subtracting the 10 parking spaces on 18th Street that were apparently added
subsequent to the development of the Olsen and City of Atlantic Beach inventories , parallel
parking could be instituted on both sides of 18th Street without resulting in a subsequent increase
in parking requirements to other neighborhoods or adversely affecting the Beach Re-nourishment
calculations.
A discussion regarding instituting Pay for Parking at 18th resulted. The members were in favor
of implementing this system (including using 18th and 19th Street parking as a pilot program).
As implementation of the system might be outside the scope of the Sub-Committee ' s authority , it
was felt an endorsement of a full P&PSARC recommendation to establish the Pay for Parking
would be appropriate .
Discussion ensued regarding a viable parking plan which would minimize present safety concerns.
