BEACH, FLORIDA, AMENDING CERTAIN ..SECTIONS OF CHAPTER 8 FLOOD HAZARD AREAS, ARTICLE 1, IN GENERAL, AND ARTICLE III, FLOOD .HAZARD REDUCTION STANDARDS, TO COMPLY WITH RIJQUIREMENTS OF THE NATIONAL. FLOOD INSURANCE PROGRAM AND THE COMMUNITY RATING SYSTEM; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ENACTED BY THE CITY COMNIISSION ON BEHALF OF THE PEOPLE OF THE- CITY OF ATLANTIC:-BEACH, FLORIDA: SECTION 1. Section 8-5 Definitions,: "Structures", and Section 8,7 Basis for: establishing the areas of special flood hazard, and Sec. 8-33; Standards, for streams without established base flood. elevations and/or floodways (a)"and (b) of the. Code of Ordinances of the City of Atlantic Beach, Florida, are hereby amended to read`as follows: Chapter 8 FLOOD HAZARD DISTRICTS ARTICLE I. Structures means a wailed and roofed building that is Drineipally above ground. a manufactured home or a gas or liquid storage tank Section 8-7. Basis for establishing the areas of special flood hazard The areas of special flood hazard. identified by he Federal Emergency Management Agency in its Flood Insurance Study/ Flood:Insurance Rate Map, dated ~~~-~'~ ' ~, ~ °~~ April 17, 1989; with accompanying mapsand other supporting data, and any revision thereto, are adopted by reference and declared to be a part of this chapter. - ~ , ~~:,^ °, Sec. 8-33.
