Were you able to discuss the unpermitted signage with management? Thank you, Shane From: Dan Corbin [mailto:dan@projectcsi.com] Sent:Thursday, May 17,2018 9:39 AM To:Corbin,Shane<scorbin@coab.us> Subject: RE:715 Atlantic Blvd,Atlantic Beach, FL-Exxon Mobil Synergy Project Mr. Corbin, I wanted to follow-up to make sure you received everything you need. If you need any additional technical drawings or other information, please feel free to contact me,as Exxon Mobil has a considerable amount of information available for the proposed architectural elements. Thanks, Shane From: Dan Corbin [mailto:dan@projectcsi.com] Sent:Tuesday,June 12,2018 11:41 AM To:Corbin,Shane<scorbin@coab.us> Subject: RE:715 Atlantic Blvd,Atlantic Beach, FL-Exxon Mobil Synergy Project Mr. Corbin, I discussed the issue with Circle K. Please see the attached letter from Circle K. On the issue of visible from the public right-of-way.Our difficulty is that due to the limitations of having an open air canopy, all of the elements are visible, however, the information provided is not legible from the public right-of-way. The design of the elements is such that all the text is located on the severe angle of the triangle. We show the text in 2- D, but in reality, the text is nothing but a white blur until customers are close enough to interact with the fuel dispensers.Additionally, due to the location of the text on the severe angle, there is a natural shadow that is cast, thereby decreasing legibility. In addition to the artistic and aesthetic goals of the design,a primary design guideline for the development of the elements, was to display the text in a manner that did not encroach upon the rights of adjacent property owners or the public. The elements are simply meant to enhance and improve the overall site aesthetics by using urban planning and design methods(non-vegetative landscaping, vertical accent pieces, functionally attractive design). Please review this information and contact me with next steps moving forward. Cheers! Dan Corbin, AICP PROJECT CSI Permits Division Manager 317.537.1407 (0) 3
