Hi Dan,
I'm hesitant to agree to the new architectural elements for 2 reasons: 1)They appear to be visible from the public right-
of-way and add to signage 2)The management of this facility has allowed unpermitted signage on this site already
(window stickers, cardboard temp signage,etc.).
Were you able to discuss the unpermitted signage with management?

Thanks for discussing the project at the above referenced filling station with me.As promised, please find attached the
architectural renderings and standard drawings for this site.Just so you know the project is relatively minor and includes
the following three elements:
• Synergy Island Mounted Architectural Aperture(defined as Exxon Mobil Synergy Wave in submitted Standard
Drawing)
• Synergy Column Wrapped Architectural Aperture(defined as Exxon Mobil Synergy Koala in submitted Standard
Drawings)
• Synergy Pump Number Identifiers
The project generally takes approximately one day to install; site prep in the morning and installation of the elements in
the afternoon.The architectural features are meant to enhance and improve the customer experience while fueling
their vehicles. Please find a link to the promotional video developed by Exxon Mobil for municipal staff to review the
final product once installed.

Mr. Corbin,
I discussed the issue with Circle K. Please see the attached letter from Circle K.
On the issue of visible from the public right-of-way.Our difficulty is that due to the limitations of having an open air
canopy,all of the elements are visible, however,the information provided is not legible from the public right-of-way.
The design of the elements is such that all the text is located on the severe angle of the triangle.We show the text in 2-
D, but in reality,the text is nothing but a white blur until customers are close enough to interact with the fuel
dispensers.Additionally,due to the location of the text on the severe angle,there is a natural shadow that is cast,
thereby decreasing legibility. In addition to the artistic and aesthetic goals of the design,a primary design guideline for
the development of the elements,was to display the text in a manner that did not encroach upon the rights of adjacent
property owners or the public.The elements are simply meant to enhance and improve the overall site aesthetics by
using urban planning and design methods(non-vegetative landscaping,vertical accent pieces,functionally attractive
design).
