A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH APPROVING
PIGGYBACKING OFF THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE CONTRACT
WITH COURT SURFACES, INC. (CONTRACT #CS -0354-15 "SPORT
COURT MAINTENANCE AND CONSTRUCTION 2015") FOR THE
DONNER PARK TENNIS & PICKLEBALL COURT REHABILITATION
PROJECT.
WHEREAS, City staff obtained a quote from Court Surfaces, Inc. in the amount of
$34,578.40 for the rehabilitation of two courts at Donner Park; and
WHEREAS, the scope of work includes court resurfacing, leveling and restriping (two
tennis, four pickleball), as well as the installation of Bio -Barrier Root Control, the flipping and
reinstallation of surrounding fencing, and new external wind net posts and two new tennis nets;
and
WHEREAS, the City desires to piggyback off the City of Jacksonville Contract with Court
Surfaces, Inc. (Contract #CS -0354-15 "Sport Court Maintenance and Construction 2015"); and
WHEREAS, the current year (FY -2019) budget includes funds in the Parks & Recreation
Infrastructure account 131-6020-572-6300 for the Donner Park Tennis & Pickleball Court
Rehabilitation project.
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Commission of the City of Atlantic Beach
as follows:
SECTION 1. The Commission approves piggybacking off the above referenced COJ
Contract and authorizes the City Manager to approve a purchase order in the amount of $34,578.40
to Court Surfaces, Inc. for the Donner Park Tennis & Pickleball Court Rehabilitation Project.
SECTION 2. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its passage and adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City of Atlantic Beach, this 13th day of November,
