August 30, 2018
Call to Order: by Chair Jennifer Lagner at 5:33p.m.
Roll Call: All subcommittee members were present -Jennifer Lagner, Woody Winfree, Paula O'Bannon.
Courtesy of the Floor—No citizens were in attendance.
Minutes to Approve: The minutes of the last meeting on August 15, 2018 were approved.
Review and Discussion:
Revolved around the following bullet points:
*We need to accumulate any research/maps, zoning surveys & other pertinent information from the
city to help us with our investigation.
* Will paid parking effect 10th Street parking?
* What will the effect of the new ADA walkway have on parking in this area? Should the handicap
parking (2 spaces) be located up by the beach access?
*Analyze the pros & cons of diagonal vs. 90 degree parking spaces?
*Landscaping encroachment on city right-of-ways & streets. Can any areas be reclaimed?
*Signage is confusing on where to park?
*Would parking be safer if civilian parking was moved closer to Beach Avenue & the residents of the
apartment's park closer to the ocean?
**Members decided to come back to the next meeting, September 6, 2018 with more information. At
that time we will to start writing our proposal.
