A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA,
MODIFYING THE TERMS OF CERTAIN MEMBERS OF THE BOARD
MEMBER REVIEW COMMITTEE AND THE CULTURAL ARTS AND
RECREATION ADVISORY COMMITTEE; AND PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Board Member Review Committee has conducted a study over the last
year to assess board and committee membership, terms, removal and selection/appointment
procedures for all boards and committees of the City; and
WHEREAS, the Board Member Review Committee has developed and forwarded its
recommendations to standardize, clarify and streamline the membership, terms, removal and
selection/appointment procedures for the various boards and committees of the City to the City
Commission; and
WHEREAS, two of the recommendations are that the terms for all board and committee
members should expire on December 31 of the proper year and that all terns should be three (3)
years in length; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission has approved Resolution No. 18-51 and Resolution No.
18-52, providing that the terms of the members of the Cultural Arts and Recreation Advisory
Committee, and the Board Member Review Committee are to expire on December 31 of the proper
year and that all terns shall be for three (3) years; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission now desires to modify and stagger the terms of the
members of said Committees.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Term Modifications. The following persons' terms on the Committees
specified below are hereby modified as follows:
a. Cultural Arts and Recreation Advisory Committee
1. Grant Healy — December 31, 2019 — 2nd term,
2. Dawn Pope — December 31, 2021— 2n1 term,
3. Paula O'Bannon —December 31, 2020 —1St term,
4. Beverly Norman— December 31, 2019 —1St term,
5. Marina Kaplan — December 31, 2021— 2nd term,
6. Vacant —December 31, 2020 —0 term,
7. Vacant— December 31, 2020 —1st term, and
8. Alternate Member — Vacant — December 31 of applicable year.
b. Board Member Review Committee
1. Candace Kelly — December 31, 2019 —1St term,
2. Ruth "Sally" Clemens — December 31, 2020 —1St term,
3. Kenneth Reeves —December 31, 2021 -1St term,
4. Pamela White — December 31, 2021 —1St term, and
5. Vacant —December 31, 2020 —1St term.
SECTION 2. Effective Date. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon passage
and adoption.
