CALL TO ORDER
Chair Kelly called the meeting to order at 5:00 pm.
1. APPROVAL OF MINUTES
A. Approve Minutes of the Board Member Review Committee meeting of February
28, 2018.
The Committee approved the minutes of the Board Member Review Committee meeting
of February 28, 2018 as presented.
The Committee spoke about the new changes to the Board Member Review Committee
membership. Mr. Healy explained the benefit of having input from the board/committee
chairs and expressed concerns about them no longer being on this committee to vote on
recommendations relating to their particular board/committee.

The Committee interviewed the applicants listed above separately. An overview of the
duties and responsibilities including the events, programs and activities of the Cultural
Arts and Recreation Advisory Committee were explained to Ms. Blocker, Ms. Silcox ,
Mr. Curtis and Mr. Jurasic. An overview of the duties and responsibilities of the
Environmental Stewardship Commission were explained to Mr. Goodrich, Mr. Jurasic
and Mr. Pooley. Each candidate explained their personal accomplishments, experience,
goals and interests in the community. The Committee offered the opportunity to ask
questions and the Committee responded to those questions.
3. DISCUSSION
A. Discuss candidates listed above.
The Committee discussed the candidates and agreed that recommendations would be
made at the December 6 meeting.
4. OTHER BUSINESS
A. Update on recent changes to Boards and Committees
The Committee discussed the recent changes to the various boards and committees.
Chair Kelly referred to and read the list of recommendations from the Board Member
Review Committee minutes of January 19, 2017. It was decided that City Clerk Bartle
would contact the Committee members with several proposed dates and schedule a
meeting in January 2019 to discuss items in that list.

There being no further discussion, Chair Kelly declared the meeting adjourned 7:45 p.m.

In my position as director of grants administration for the Cultural Council of Greater Jacksonville,I manage a$2.5 million grant program funded by the City of Jacksonville.
This responsibility entails working with both city staff and elected officials,as well as a volunteer committee of community representatives responsible for determining
grant award recommendations. Through this work,I have become familiar with Florida's Sunshine law and related ethical considerations.I have also been asked by the
Florida Dept.of State,Division of Cultural Affairs to serve on statewide committees,task forces and grant panels,including topics such as strategic planning and
determining evaluation metrics.At the Beaches,I served on the School Advisory committees for Mayport Middle School and Fletcher High School. I also was a member of a
