A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH AUTHORIZING THE
EXPENDITURE OF $267,285 FROM THE PUBLIC UTILITIES FUND FOR THE
PROCUREMENT OF A REPLACEMENT SUPERVISORY CONTROL AND
DATA ACQUISITION (SCADA) SYSTEM FROM DATA FLOW SYSTEMS FOR
THE CITY'S LIFT STATIONS; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
EXECUTE CONTRACTS AND PURCHASE ORDERS IN ACCORDANCE WITH
AND AS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THE PROVISIONS OF THIS
RESOLUTION; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Atlantic Beach desires to undertake a supervisory control and data
acquisition (SCADA) system replacement project for its lift stations; and
WHEREAS, after substantial staff review, it has been determined that the best course of action is
to procure the services of Data Flow Systems for this project; and
WHEREAS, an opportunity exists for the City of Atlantic Beach to piggyback off of an existing
competitively bid agreement between Data Flow Systems and the City of Callaway, Fla.; and
WHEREAS, funds are included in the City of Atlantic Beach's Public Utilities Fund for this
purpose.
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Commission of the City of Atlantic Beach as
follows:
Section 1. The City Commission hereby authorizes the expenditure of $267,285 from the Public
Utilities Fund for the procurement of a replacement supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA)
system from Data Flow Systems.
Section 2. The City Commission hereby authorizes piggybacking off of an existing competitively
bid agreement between Data Flow Systems and the City of Callaway, Fla.
Section 3. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute the contracts and such purchase
order(s) in accordance with and as necessary to effectuate the provisions of this Resolution.
Section 4. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its passage and adoption.
