Resolution No. 18-53- Modifying terms- PBOTs and CDBRESOLUTION NO. 18-53
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA,
MODIFYING THE TERMS OF CERTAIN MEMBERS OF THE POLICE
OFFICERS' PENSION BOARD, THE GENERAL EMPLOYEES' PENSION
BOARD AND THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BOARD; AND
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Board Member Review Committee has conducted a study over the last
year to assess board and committee membership, terms, removal and selection/appointment
procedures for all boards and committees of the City; and
WHEREAS, the Board Member Review Committee has developed and forwarded its
recommendations to standardize, clarify and streamline the membership, terms, removal and
selection/appointment procedures for the various boards and committees of the City to the City
Commission; and
WHEREAS, two of the recommendations are that the terms for all board and committee
members should expire on December 31 of the proper year and that all terms should be three (3)
years in length; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission has approved Ordinance No. 5-18-66, Ordinance No.
58-18-42 and Ordinance No. 58-18-43, providing that the terms of the members of the Police
Officers' Pension Board, the General Employees' Pension Board and the Community Development
Board are to expire on December 31 of the proper year and that all terms shall be for three (3)
years; and

WHEREAS, the City Commission now desires to modify and stagger the terms of the
members of said Boards.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Term Modifications. The following persons' terms on the Boards specified
below are hereby modified as follows:
a. Police Officers' Pension Board
1. Chase Jamison — December 31, 2021 — 1st term,
2. David Cameron — December 31, 2019 — 2nd term,
3. Bill Tomson — December 31, 2019 — 2nd term,
4. Tim Anderson — December 31, 2021 — 1st term, and
5. Bob Liggero — December 31, 2020 — 1st term.
b. General Employees' Pension Board
1. Troy Stephens — December 31, 2021 — 1st tem",
2. Timmy Johnson — December 31, 2021 — 2nd term,
3. Ray Brandstaetter — December 31, 2020 — 2nd term,
4. Alan Gleit — December 31, 2019 — 3rd term, and
5. Jim Griffiths — December 31, 2020 — 1st term.
c. Community Development Board
1. Linda Lanier — December 31, 2019 — 2nd term,
2. Kelly Elmore — December 31, 2019 — 3rd term,
3. Kirk Hansen — December 31, 2021 — 1st term,

SECTION 2. Effective Date. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon passage
and adoption.
