CITY COMMISSION MEETING
STAFF REPORT
AGENDA ITEM: Stormwater Master Plan
SUBMITTED BY: Robert S. Kosoy, P.E.
Director of Public Works
DATE: February 15, 2002
BACKGROUND: We solicited a readvertisement for Request for Proposals (RFP) for
the Stormwater Master Plan, and on February 13, 2002, we
received six proposals. The response to the original advertisement
in November, 2001 yielded only two responses, from Aikenhead &
Odom, Inc., and Stanley Consultants. Preliminary discussions with.
both firms indicated that the Hopkins Creek Basin (Aquatic
Gardens, Royal Plans, and Donner Subdivision) would need to be
modeled, in order to provide a more realistic 10-year Capital
Improvement Program.
The six firms submitting proposals on the readvertisement were:
Aikenhead & Odom, Inc.
Camp, Dresser & McKee
Environmental Consulting & Technology, Inc.
Jones Edmunds & Associates, Inc.
Taylor Engineering, Inc.
Stanley Consultants
After staff evaluation, the top three firms were:
15` - Camp, Dresser & McKee
2"a - Jones Edmunds & Associates, Inc.
3`a - Taylor Engineering
RECOMMENDATION: Authorize staff to begin negotiations with the top-ranked firm,
Camp, Dresser & McKee, for preparation of the Stormwater
Master Plan.
ATTACHMENT: Evaluation of Proposals Rating Sheet
