Director of Public Works DATE: February 15, 2002 BACKGROUND: We solicited a readvertisement for Request for Proposals (RFP) for the Stormwater Master Plan, and on February 13, 2002, we received six proposals. The response to the original advertisement in November, 2001 yielded only two responses, from Aikenhead & Odom, Inc., and Stanley Consultants. Preliminary discussions with. both firms indicated that the Hopkins Creek Basin (Aquatic Gardens, Royal Plans, and Donner Subdivision) would need to be modeled, in order to provide a more realistic 10-year Capital Improvement Program. The six firms submitting proposals on the readvertisement were: Aikenhead & Odom, Inc. Camp, Dresser & McKee Environmental Consulting & Technology, Inc. Jones Edmunds & Associates, Inc. Taylor Engineering, Inc. Stanley Consultants After staff evaluation, the top three firms were: 15` - Camp, Dresser & McKee 2"a - Jones Edmunds & Associates, Inc. 3`a - Taylor Engineering RECOMMENDATION: Authorize staff to begin negotiations with the top-ranked firm, Camp, Dresser & McKee, for preparation of the Stormwater Master Plan.
