A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH AUTHORIZING THE
EXPENDITURE OF $39,350 FROM THE CITY'S GENERAL FUND RESERVE
ACCOUNT FOR THE PROCUREMENT OF NORTH FLORIDA LAND TRUST
TO SERVE AS THE CITY'S NEGOTIATING AGENT FOR THE POTENTIAL
PURCHASE OF JOHNSTON ISLAND; AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER/MAYOR TO EXECUTE CONTRACTS AND PURCHASE ORDERS
IN ACCORDANCE WITH AND AS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THE
PROVISIONS OF THIS RESOLUTION; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Atlantic Beach desires to procure North Florida Land Trust to serve as
the City's negotiating agent for the potential purchase of Johnston Island; and
WHEREAS, the fee for these services is $39,350; and
WHEREAS, sufficient funds for this expenditure are included in the City's General Fund Reserve
Account.
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Commission of the City of Atlantic Beach as
follows:
Section 1. The City Commission hereby authorizes the expenditure of $39,350 from the City's
General Fund Reserve Account for the procurement of North Florida Land Trust to serve as the City's
negotiating agent for the potential purchase of Johnston Island.
Section 2. The City Manager/Mayor is hereby authorized to execute the contracts and such
purchase order(s) in accordance with and as necessary to effectuate the provisions of this Resolution.
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its passage and adoption.
