Palm Tree Trimming

BACKGROUND: The City's current contract with American Landcaze for palm tree
trimming of the Atlantic Boulevard medians and Town Center
expires on April 30, 2002. We have contacted Mr. Jim Wallace,
owner of American Landcaze, and he has agreed to extend the
currenbcontract for another year at the current price of $1,290
($645 per trimming performed twice per year) for the medians, and
$12,096 {$6,048 per trimming performed twice per year) for Town
Center. The City has the option of extending the current contract
for two (2) one year periods, and this proposed extension will be
the first..
RECOMMENDATION: Extend the contract for one yeaz, at the current prices.
ATTACHMENTS: Letter signed by Jim Wallace, owner of American Landcaze,
agreeing to the extension.
BUDGET: Total budget for Fiscal Year 01-02 is $2,000 for Atlantic Blvd.
Medians in account 001-5002-541-34.00, and $13,000 for Town
Center in accoun-t-0-01-50~02-541-34.02.
