RESOLUTION NO: 02-07
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA,
IN SUPPORT OF THE U.S. NAVY PRESENTING THEIR ANNUAL
INTERNATIONAL AIR AND SEA SPECTACULAR SHOW AT NAVAL
STATION MAYPORT AND THE BEACHES IN THE FALL OF 2003
WHEREAS, the Navy Air Show was held at the Beaches in November of 2001 and was very
well received by the Beach communities; and
WHEREAS, the Navy Air Show offers an exciting family entertainment program featuring the
U.S. Navy Blue Angels; and
WHEREAS, the Navy Air Show would benefit the business community by bringing visitors to
the Beaches azea during the off-season; and
WHEREAS, the City of Atlantic Beach supports the local Navy community and would enjoy
the opportunity to partner with the Navy in hosting the 2003 Navy Air Show.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Atlantic Beach City Commission hereby
encourages the U.S. Nauy to bring the Air Show to Naval Station Mayport and the Beaches in
the fall of 2003.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Commission hereby encourages that future Air
Shows rotate between Naval Station Mayport and Naval Air Station Jacksonville
This resolution shall take effect upon its final passage and adoption.
