AGENDA ITEM: Authorize the City Manager to make emergency
repairs to the boardwalk at Tideviews Preserve

BACKGROUND: The City Manager reported to the Commission that
there was a fire at Tideviews Preserve. The fire
destroyed underbrush and about 130' of boardwalk.
This section of the park has been blocked off
because it poses a hazard to the public. Staff
received the following bids to make emergency
repairs to the boardwalk:
• Dowling Construction $22,846
• All Type Marine Construction $23,650
• Bradley Bowen Construction $32,890
BUDGET: A claim has been submitted to the insurance
company
RECOMMENDATION: Authorize the City Manager to use Dowling
Construction to make emergency repairs to the
boardwalk at Tideviews Preserve in the amount of
$22,846
