A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA,
AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF EIGHT (8) NEW SOLAR
CROSSWALK SIGNS.
WHEREAS, funds to purchase new Solar Crosswalk Signs were approved in the FY18-19
budget by the City Commission; and
WHEREAS, staff received a quote to purchase eight new Solar Crosswalk Signs from
Temple, Inc. in the amount of $31,040; and
WHEREAS, Temple, Inc. has a contract with FDOT (Bid #ITB -DOT -15/16 -9005 -FH) and
staff intends to piggy -back off these contract prices; and
WHEREAS, these Solar Crosswalk Signs are identical to the two Carmanah R920 Solar
Wireless RRFB Back to Back Light Bar signs previously purchased and installed at the NE & NW
corner of l Ph Street and Seminole Road; and
WHEREAS, the locations for the eight new Solar Crosswalk Signs shall be approved through
the Public Safety Department.
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Commission of the City of Atlantic Beach
as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Commission hereby authorizes the purchase of eight (8) new Solar
Crosswalk Signs from Temple, Inc., piggy -backing off FDOT contract (Bid #ITB -DOT -15/16 -9005 -
FH) in the amount of $31,040.00; and
SECTION 2. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its passage and adoption.
