All changes have been included in new Life Safety Plan (Sheet LS-101). Review Comments: 1. Fire code specific code summary. • Response: Please refer to added Sheet LS-101 for added Code information. 2. Life Safety Plans Required Occupant Load Calculation: • Response: We have added a Life Safety Plan sheet (LS-101) and put the occupant load area calculations for the areas of work on this plan. Exit Locations: • Response: We labeled the exits as Main/Secondary exits on Sheet LS-101. This is a single story building with a mezzanine. Exits terminate at a public way and are accessible to existing minimum 5'x5' slip resistant concrete walkways at 44" minimum. Separation of exits are shown to meet 1/3 the diagonal of the building (since building is sprinklered) on the first floor and mezzanine levels. These dimensions are shown on Sheet LS-101. Required Egress capacity: • Response: We have the egress inches noted on the Life Safety Sheet LS-101. Required measurements: • Response: We have a dead end corridor measurements, common path, and total travel distance all at worst cases on the Life Safety Plan sheet(LS-101). Required Separation: • Response: No separations required. This building is an existing stand-alone building with a single Assembly use(no adjacent tenants). This is shown on Sheet A-601 door schedule. Required Electrical Stop/Disconnect Details: • Response: Refer to Sheet E-201. The main electrical disconnect is located at the exterior of the building along the rear wall. This location is also shown on the new LS- 101 drawing. No emergency shunt trips or emergency stops are required for this project. Required markings of means of egress: • Response: We have an egress note indicating tactile exit signs shown on the Life Safety Plan sheet(LS-101). Required Fire Extinguisher Locations: • Response: We have the Fire Extinguishers located on the Life Safety Plan sheet (LS- 101. Fire extinguishers are located within a 75' radius throughout the project. Required Emergency Lighting: • Response: Refer to Sheets E-101 and E-102 which depict all Emergency "bug-eye" light fixtures throughout the project. Required Lightweight Truss Sign: • Response: This is an existing pre-engineered metal building with steel I-beam columns, beams, girts and purlins. The existing mezzanine construction is steel bar joist, metal decking and concrete slab. Truss signage will not be require for this project. Show occupant load areas: • Response: Refer to Sheet LS-101 which depicts occupant load areas and total occupant load for the project. Sprinkler system and fire alarm system modifications: • Response: All sprinkler system and fire alarm system modifications will be submitted under separate cover by the General Contractor's fire sprinkler and fire alarm sub- contractors.
